5-Day Trail Rides

Designed for people who want something different and not just trail riding. Learn how to care for your horse and enjoy fun activities, good horsemanship, including stable care and management. Riding lessons are offered in the afternoons and daily trail rides through tropical rainforest, bushland, cane fields, water crossings and hills with each ride returning to Proride for lunch and afternoon activities.

Currently AUD$2,500 (inc GST) covers:

• transfers to and from Cairns airport
• homestay accommodation at Proride
• all meals
• horses
• riding instruction

Group size: 3

The following units are covered:

• outfitting the rider (helmet supplied)
• fitting saddles, bridles, breastplates etc
• catching, grooming and tacking up a horse
• riding lessons
• conformation
• basic physiology
• foot care and shoeing
• feeding and worming
• heart rate monitoring
