Her breeding is superb.  She is by one of Abiram's last sons, El Shaloa Bey Abi (exp UAE) who in fact is out of a Royal Domino mare.  Her mother is a daughter of Argent, Rokeby Gemima.  This is a proven endurance pedigree.

We have had Tempest in light work since 9/98.  2002 was her first serious year, whereby she completed 890 kilometres awarded a blue QERA badge, 7^th Aust. Lightweight pointscore & top 5 distance horse QERA. She also completed the 408km Pioneer Trek Marathon last year. Tempest is a very willing free moving mare, enjoys endurance riding & very easy to read.  She is a tough mare and very fast, she has never been stressed.  She is well above average & her best years are ahead of her.  To date she has completed approximately 1700km with no vet outs.  She has received several fittest horse awards & 1^st placings, but not through trying, as we use the early years to accumulated kilometers and don’t ride the local rides to achieve awards.

 Tempest is an Alpha mare and competitive on track and in the paddock.  Trained alone she is like a kids pony, with others can be very competitive and spirited at times.  She has proven to us over the years she loves to compete and has a high tolerance of pain  (Pioneer Trek Marathon, she bucked at the 380km mark because her crupper buckle pinch her hind, causing us both to fall, taking a bruising and scratches she finished the ride and looked a million dollars the following morning during the fittest horse workout).
