Endurance training season preparation for 2004 Tom Quilty Gold Cup. Positions now available for horses to be prepared in Far North Queensland for the 2004 Tom Quilty. Proride is an endurance riding facility designed to offer international endurance competitors the opportunity to have horses trained for Australian competition. Our training facility is ideal for overseas riders wishing to purchase horses and compete in Australia prior to transporting overseas. We have been instrumental in having encouraged national and international (especially UAE and Japanese riders) to the Far North Region to compete at affiliated endurance rides. These riders have further confirmed our beliefs that the terrain, climate and vast spans of courses available are ideal for the training and maintenance of the Endurance Horse and Rider. There are many reasons for identifying Far North Queensland as a suitable location for this facility. Firstly, our climate has the same humidity and high temperatures of that in UAE and Malaysia. Our mountainous terrain is ideal for developing muscle and stamina for the Tom Quilty Gold Cup. We have unlimited riding tracks, through rainforest, mountains, ground soft cane fields and creek crossings. Horses are trained and competed at affiliated endurance rides in the Far North Queensland Australia, in preparation of the 160km Tom Quilty. Proride is run in conjunction with the Far North Endurance Riders Association, and horses will compete in a minimum of 4 x 80km rides before the Tom Quilty.
